Ryan McFarlin, Mediator

Meet our founder and CEO, Ryan McFarlin, who has over 17 years of legal experience in the field of civil litigation, personal injury, and healthcare consulting. In 2022, he launched Gogo Mediation, Inc., a nationwide mediation firm that offers a unique approach to solving legal disputes. He oversees all aspects of the firm's day-to-day operations, including financial management, HR, and tech development. But best of all - he's still available to mediate.

Prior to starting Gogo Mediation, Ryan served as Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Lightbulb Cardiac, a healthcare consulting and training company that specializes in invasive cardiology. In this role, he provided legal counsel to the executive team on corporate governance, regulatory compliance, risk management, and contract negotiation. His work with clients and healthcare industry stakeholders, including hospitals and healthcare providers, resulted in increased clinical revenue and positive patient outcomes. Ryan remains a co-owner of the company, continuing to contribute to its growth and success.

Ryan's legal career began in 2006 when he joined the United States Small Business Administration as an attorney and case manager for the Office of Disaster Assistance. For most of his career, he worked as the Managing Attorney for The McFarlin Firm, where he managed an average litigation portfolio of 90 to 120 cases. He also represented individuals and corporate entities in obtaining and/or defending applications for temporary restraining orders and temporary injunctions in commercial litigation cases and real estate litigation. Ryan has been recognized as a SuperLawyer Rising Star and a member of the National Trial Lawyers Top 100 Civil Plaintiff.

In addition to his extensive legal career, Ryan is currently an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University School of Law in San Francisco, CA, teaching Alternative Dispute Resolution. This role highlights his commitment to educating the next generation of lawyers in effective dispute resolution techniques.

Ryan has been active in his community and has served on various committees for the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Association of Young Lawyers. He has also been involved in the Texas High School Mock Trial Competition and received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Dallas Independent School District for his contributions to Career Education & Workforce Partnerships. Ryan is a graduate of Baylor University School of Law and Southwestern University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology, Chemistry, and Political Science.
