Embarking on a journey from her homeland at the tender age of 18, Kathy Moghimi-Patterson's path to the U.S. was paved with challenges and determination. Her early years were marked by a relentless pursuit of education and work, showcasing an unparalleled work ethic and resilience. This journey led her to a pivotal role in a law firm and subsequently to the esteemed halls of the British-American School of Law, where she graduated cum laude with a Juris Doctorate degree in 2001.

Kathy's career is distinguished by her experience in management and litigation, having served as a litigation manager across various law firms for nearly three decades. Her expertise is not just limited to understanding the intricacies of California Civil Procedure, local rules, and trials but extends into making meaningful contributions to her community. Her election and subsequent re-elections as a Councilmember for a Los Angeles City Neighborhood Council underscore her commitment to serving as a vital link between the community and local government.

In 2016, Kathy expanded her repertoire of skills by receiving training as a facilitator and mediator from the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office. Since then, she has adeptly facilitated and mediated thousands of cases, ranging from Landlord/Tenant disputes to more complex issues like Homeowners Association conflicts, Construction, and Real Estate disputes, each time bringing her deep-seated passion for resolving complicated matters to the forefront.
