Jeannette R. Geter, LSW - Mediator

Jeannette R. Geter is a licensed social worker and certified mediator with more than a decade of experience helping families, employees, landlords, tenants, and organizations resolve challenging disputes. Known for her calm, structured approach, she creates a safe environment where parties feel heard, respected, and supported as they work toward practical, lasting solutions.
 
Her background in sociology (Haverford College) and Social Service Administration (University of Chicago) informs her ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics and reduce power imbalances. Since becoming a certified mediator in 2017, Jeannette has guided hundreds of participants through negotiations involving landlord-tenant concerns, workplace conflict, child welfare matters, and foster care issues.
Jeannette’s professional experience includes service on SEIU 668’s Child Welfare Committee, where she collaborated with the Pennsylvania Auditor General’s Office to assess systemic issues and led conflict-resolution workshops for staff and stakeholders. She also mediates for the City of Philadelphia’s Eviction Diversion Program and has contributed extensively to employment-related negotiations.
